About Us

White Buffalo is a queer, woman owned brick and mortar shop in the Historic West End neighborhood of Providence, RI selling a curated selection of jewelry, housewares, gifts, and unique handmade pieces. Founded in 2012 by Dana Kretzmann, White Buffalo initially started as a vintage and oddities pop-up until Dana opened a storefront in 2013 with the hope of building an inclusive and inviting space for the local community. Originally from Michigan, Dana moved to Providence to pursue a graduate degree in sculpture at Rhode Island School of Design and quickly made roots in the thriving small business community in the city. The launch of her online shop is an extension of the brick and mortar which also sells wearable everyday vintage staples for all genders and sizes. She hopes that her online presence will make her curated goods more accessible and available to shoppers of all kinds in and beyond Providence.
